About Ever Stand

  • aboutI produce many different items of lacquerware. As a native of Bagan I am interested in the art and also a producer of lacquerware. Since 1986, I have opened a lacquerware cottage industry and also a shop called “Ever Stand” to sell different kinds of finished works in Wet-kyi-inn village, Bagan/Nyaung-Oo Township. To establish a lacquerware cottage industry I have invested man power, assets, and time. To be effective in producing lacquerware, I have carried out careful management on the work of professionals, experienced, and other workers but have seen to growing continuation of new generation of workers. In working on raising new generation workers, it promotes the enhancement of Myanmar traditional lacquerware art and promotes the community development of urban and rural inhabitants.
  • As I have been interested in the art of lacquerware I have studied it extensively. With six experienced workers I established “Ever Stand Lacquerware Works” in 1986. From 1986 to 1993, we had to rely on local marketing. Our enterprise registered with “ Small Skill Industries Department ” under Ministry of Co-operative on 18th of May, 1993, and have been continuing to this day. In order to let young people in Wet-kyi-inn village and others from nearby villages earn some money they are taught how to work on lacquerware. I am delighted to say that to this day I have brought forth seventy experts and experienced workers.
  • As my “Ever Stand Lacquerware Workshop” is situated in Wet-kyi-inn village, Bagan/Nyaung-Oo area where historical culture flourished, it was easy for tourists to visit so it could be said a good marketing place by nature. “Ever Stand Lacquerware Workshop” not only works on maintaining and up holding traditional styles and introducing new trends but also see to high quality products.. In 1993, together with the work place, a shop was opened. Goods were able to be put on sale for tourists right away.
